Classic line of therapeutic graduated compression stockings manufactured using the highest quality yarns. A line of most resistant and effective articles with refined knitting and accuracy of details. These stockings are produced in K1, K2 and K3 compression Classes.
Over 20% of the adult population suffer from venous insufficiency and show increasingly severe symptoms, which may include tired legs and swollen ankles, skin blemishes, oedema, superficial and deep thrombophlebitis, skin lesions.
In all these cases, the RelaxSan Medicale Classic line is not only a basic treatment for venous hypertension but also an adjuvant to other types of treatment and prophylaxis.
It is possible to choose the most suitable dosage of mmHg for every patient. Three types of products are available and they all have a high percentage of elastic yarns and exert graduated compression.
Classic products come in a variety of lengths and types – normal or short length, closed or open toe – in order to provide patients with comfort and to guarantee an excellent result. In addition to standard sizes, the manufacturing of made-to-measure articles is also possible.

COMPRESSION CATEGORIES
The therapeutic graduated compression stockings are subdivided into compression Classes according to the experimental UNI ENV 12718 European standard depending on the compression strength at the ankles. The therapeutic graduated compression stockings are normally prescribed by specialized physicians who recommend the most suitable garment and compression for the pathology to be treated. The 3 different compression classes of the therapeutic RelaxSan Medicale stockings are generally prescribed for the following venous and lower extremity disease:
Class 1 - 15-21 mmHg* Medium compression. Indicated for the prophylaxis of venous diseases in risk patients, tired and heavy sensation in the legs, appearance of varicose veins during pregnancy, thrombosis and embolism.
Class 2 - 23-32 mmHg* Moderate compression. For slight chronic venous insufficiency, thrombophlebitis (superficial thrombosis) with and without edema, post-sclerotherapy, after selective out-patient treatment of varices and stripping, varicose veins during pregnancy, prophylaxis of thrombosis and embolism.
Class 3 - 34-46 mmHg* Strong compression. Specially designed for advanced phases of chronic venous insufficiency, after recovery from crural ulcer (prophylaxis of relapse), posttraumatic edema, and reversible lymphedemas.
*Mentioned compression refers to the ankle and decreases gradually to the groin, 70% on the calf and 40% on the thight, guaranteeing a right and good blood circulation.

RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended to put on the garments in the morning, before getting out of bed. For proper use, please refer to the diagram on the bottom of the box. For proper effectiveness, use the size chart to select the correct size.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Individuals with severe arterial circulation disorders, recent and deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery occlusion and dermatosis with secretions are advised to remove the garment before going to sleep.
